The last month or two I have been feeling like my to-do list is 5times longer than I have time in my day. I have also been struggling with managing my time to be to most successful with the limited number of hours I have. Struggling with multitasking and making sure I keep all the balls I am juggling in the air at once – while entertaining, educating and playing with my boys. Keeping up with all house tasks, managing and trying to grow this blog, PLUS trying to soak up the remainder of this summer.
So to keep me organized and to hopefully get me a step ahead of the game I created this handy little Daily Keeper printable! Shocker, I know! 🙂
How It Works
- I have created two trackers per page. Simply cut on the dotted line right down the middle of the page
- I like to keep a few in the top drawer of my desk. Grab a sheet and clip it onto a half clipboard!
- Along the top I have the days of the week, followed by “today” where I write today’s date
- Below that I have 8 symbols for water. I NEED to be better about drinking more water, and this is a great way to help me remember to choose water
- You’ll notice three symbols with boxes (bed, hanger, timer)
- First thing in the morning I make my bed. I just feel better and get more accomplished when I start my day by keeping things neat and tidy
- Hanger represents “getting ready” Get up, make my bed, get dressed and ready for the day. The second box next to the hanger is for a load of laundry. I like to do at least a full load per day
- Timer – first thing spend 15 minutes and do your least favorite chore of the day. For me that is putting the clean dishes from the dishwasher away. I detest it! However, having it done right away really helps keep the kitchen clean all day long. Dishes from breakfast and lunch go right into the dishwasher instead of stacking up in the sink. There are two more boxes next to the timer. Throughout the day do two more 15 minute “clean sweeps” to help keep messes at bay. I do mine during nap time, and before I go to bed.
- The lines on the left are meant for your to-do list
- MIT stands for (Most Important Task). I pick three items from the to-do list and fill in the check marks. These are my must do’s for the whole day
- Along the right you’ll see:
- What’s for dinner
- Daily Declutter.
- I am working on improving my spaces a little each day. Right now I want to clean-out and clean-up the garage. So until that is done it is on my “Daily Declutter” list. Next up I think I will tackle the basement!
