*Ugh I wrote this post, only to find it disappeared when I went to make my final edits!*
I know I have been talking a lot about Preschool Math the last few weeks, but in-case you have not noticed I am a person who gets on “kicks”! I find a theme and run with it for a while, making a ton of printables and sharing them with all of you. So I am sorry if you are so over Preschool Math, but I have one more for you today! Recently I shared my Simple Subtraction and Easy Addition worksheets, today I am sharing a cut and paste worksheet that will help develop your child’s Math vocabulary and understanding of basic math terms.

In everyday conversations with our preschoolers we are using math terms without even thinking about it. “Would you like more milk?” (Addition). “Don’t take that from your sister!” (Subtraction). These words will be used frequently when it comes to problem solving math questions. So to better understand there math meaning, I made a little worksheet that covers Addition, Subtraction and Equals vocabulary words that are on a Preschool level.
This is a worksheet you’ll need to do with your child, since they are likely not reading yet. Though I hope you are doing all of my prinables WITH your little ones!!
How it works:
- Cut out your math symbols
- Read the word to your child and talk about if it is an addition, subtraction or equals word.
- Demonstrate it! Use your snap cubes or counting bears to SHOW your child the meaning of the word. Example: “I have 3 cubes, and Daddy gave me 4 MORE cubes.” (Addition)
- Have your preschooler glue the correct math symbol next to the vocabulary word.- Of course they can write the symbols if they’d prefer!
